Mech-Tech Institute’s Technology in Racing Mechanics curriculum focuses on the theoretical development, design, building and testing of various types of race engines. Students will learn about the use and application of the different specialized tools used to perform race car engine repairs. Additionally, this comprehensive program includes the study of the various types of fuel used by racing vehicle engines.
Upon completion of the Technology in Racing Mechanics Program, students will be able to build and perform modifications and alterations to all types of racing vehicles, learn current racing rules and regulations; and work with different components including, motorcycles, chassis, transmissions and differentials. After acquiring sufficient practical experience within the racing mechanics field, program graduates will be empowered with entrepreneurship skills essential to establish their own laboratory.
Financial aids are a basic fundamental of which students depend to perform their postsecondary and higher education studies. It is important that the student learns the opportunities, rights, obligations, and how to obtain them. All students who enroll or wish to enroll in Mech-Tech Institute must visit our Financial Aid office for orientation and assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The process of requesting financial aids appears complicated but is in fact very simple. We recommend that students become familiarized with the terms that they use during the process, the applications, and how they are obtained; the adequate moment to hand-in the applications and the procedure that will be used by the Institution to inform them of the result once the application and required documents are submitted.
Mech-Tech uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) provided by the United States Department of Education. To complete the Financial Aid application, all prospects must have the following:Social Security card. It is very important to enter the Social Security correctly in the application.
The FAFSA application is completed by using the internet and accessing: www.fafsa.ed.gov. It is important to request a PIN number by accessing: www.pin.ed.gov, for the application’s electronic signature. Later in this Handbook detailed is offered on how to obtain a PIN and the different types of financial aids offered in our Institution.
It is important to know that students who possess a Bachelor’s Degree are not eligible for Federal Pell Grant and supplementary aid.
