PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Mech-Tech Institute’s Diesel Mechanics Program offers hands-on experience on every aspect of diesel mechanics training. Students will learn to repair and maintain diesel equipment with the use of specialized tools, equipment and precision instruments. The program includes the study of the following: diesel engines and repair; diesel electronics and diagnostics; diesel fuel systems; hydraulic applications; combustion systems; brakes systems; injector systems, and power transmissions systems.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

Upon successful completion of the Diesel Mechanics Program, students are qualified to take the Diesel Mechanics Technician Revalidation Examination and associated licensures required by the State of Florida in order to qualify students for placement as technicians in the diesel mechanics industry. Program graduates will be empowered with the necessary entrepreneurship skills to establish their own shop, after acquiring sufficient practical experience within the diesel mechanics field.
